Posted : admin On 7/21/2022As millions of people are dreaming of a 70 million lira ($13.2 million) award, of the annual National Lottery (Milli Piyango) as part of the New Year lottery draw in Turkey, people formed long queues in front of the Nimet Abla Ticket Offices.
The Nimet Abla Ticket Office is a lottery ticket office in Turkey that many people visit to buy tickets. This office has turned into a company with many ticket offices, and is reviewed as fortunate to buy ticket.
Columnist Özay Şendir wrote in Milliyet Daily that regarding with the lottery ticket, he managed to reach Nimet Abla’s management on a radio programme and asked about the ticket queue and in which countries where the Milli Piyango lottery tickets are sold.
He further pointed out that he asked about the ticket amounts which were sold online. “Then a question came to my mind on what was the maximum number of ticket sales for one person,” he said.
Someone Buys 30 thousand Lottery Tickets
In his column, Şendir claimed that 30 thousand lottery tickets were sold to one Turkish citizen.
“There is no shame, I calculated and I asked to myself that if those 30 thousand of tickets were quarter ticket (In Turkey, lottery tickets can be sold as whole or one quarter of whole ticket) the total amount of those tickets are worth 525 thousand Turkish Lira ($99 thousand).

“If someone invests 525 thousand TL for a certain business, he can’t possibly earn 17.5 million TL but when the lottery is concerned, there is a possibility and hope. Whether a person can buy one or 30 thousand ticket, nobody has a right to comment, but as the saying goes ‘hope is the poor man’s bread.. eat Mehmet eat’ (A Turkish proverb),” Şendir added.

The lottery was conducted using an algorithm that is explained in detail here. The reports above list all projects submitted to the lottery by ordinal rank with an indication of whether or not the project was selected or placed on the waitlist. If a project was selected the report will indicate which Block the project was accepted into. Each project is listed by the project name provided by the Approved Vendor, the project size, the physical address, the name of the Approved Vendor, any small subscriber commitment status (community solar only), and any voluntarily provided utility interconnection queue number.
